How an Optometrist can CAUSE (& CURE) them!
A focus headache or a 'convergence' one?

I want to tell you about my new lenses for people like YOU?

TRY THIS

Can you bring a pencil or pen from reading distance to as near as 5 or 6 cms from the bridge of your nose without it going double?

Often the reason why people over 40 yrs of age cannot do this without doubling is that they have been holding their print further and further away with ageing, until the muscles that pull the eyes inwards have weakened with lack of use.  Many delay using spectacles, believing that this will strengthen their eyes or slow their weakening!
WRONG!

When print is too small to see far away, optometrists restore near focus, but in the past, it was thick bifocals with deep ugly ridges cut around circular reading segments, or single focus reading glasses which blurred your TV but didn't pull your eyes painfully inwards!

Until now prism segment bifocals have been thick, heavy, ugly and more expensive but now, for average prescription, NO MORE!  For the first time you can have ordinary looking bifocals with nice, straight top reading segments like other people, and they will not look significantly different.
BUSH OPTICIANS have made it possible for the first time by now supplying  the UK profession with the lenses our patients have enjoyed for years, with the same  lenses to restore comfort and sustained reading ability to older people needing bifocals that look no different.
Ask YOUR optometrist to obtain the technical details and order forms from HULL 223131 (Fax 227636)

No longer is the optometrist in the unhappy doctor's dilemma situation of risking GIVING you a headache with your new glasses by replacing a FOCUS headache with an even worse CONVERGENCE one!

Ask your optometrist to check that your convergence strength allows you to avoid double vision at least as close as 10cms.  Be concerned if you cannot comfortably see the pen (however blurred is not important) without doubling at 9 or 10 cm.

If this is too much effort then reading for longer periods at the usual average of 40 cms will be uncomfortable.  You Need Prism.  Often this helps to strengthen the muscles once more.
