Optometrically trained
qualified nurses and auxiliaries assist. They tend to stay 10 years and are often consulted privately on non-optical matters!
TOILETS
Available on request. Duplicated hand washing facilities
are provided in the clinic hygiene and handling area as befits a "bona
fide" clinic. Floors are polished vinyl and filtered air-conditioning purifies
the air.
We are regularly told
of prominent practices in which no provision for hand washing exists.
AFTER
HOURS
After
hours, patients may be able to contact me on 07932 162223 or Mr Vivian Bush
on 01482 860322 or 07831 520053. This is a comfort mainly for new wearers, hardly ever used
by 'regulars'.
REFRESHMENT
A drinks machine and
hot water are constantly on tap. Baby changing
is possible.
Usual TV channels
can be selected with headphones for waiting friends/relatives as also periodicals. Seasonally,
sessions may close at 2pm on Saturdays.
HOURS
The Clinic Opens 9.00am to
5.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9.00am 2.00 or 4.00pm seasonally.

Sessions are continuous
without a break from 9 through to 5pm to help working patients.

Metered On Street parking. Central
for Rail station (250 yards).
(Bus Station closed under modernization
till late 2005 but Park & Ride services available from Hessle and Walton
Street and drop off in the City Centre)
PAYMENTS
Visa & Mastercard
are welcome for purchases. We prefer monthly plan payments via Standing
Orders. These can ONLY be changed by YOU. (Direct debits are less popular
with us personally and probably most others as control of our bank accounts is less
assured).

for sides or lenses replaced on-site. Complete Spectacle prices from £25
but for contracted contact lens wearers - half
what you might pay generally for prescriptions within
the range +/- 6.0 dioptres?
